Activist Sonam Wangchuk has announced that he will continue his indefinite hunger strike despite being forcefully shifted to the hospital. Medical professionals currently monitoring his health status at Safdarjung Hospital stated that his vital parameters remain stable. His announcement follows a multi-day fast and ongoing demonstrations regarding educational accountability in the national capital.
Meanwhile, members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) have successfully reclaimed their dismantled protest stage at Jantar Mantar. The platform had been previously cleared by law enforcement personnel during recent crowd-control operations. Demonstrators gathered back at the historic site to re-erect their temporary structures and resume their agitation.
The parallel developments have amplified the ongoing friction between the authorities and the agitating groups. While medical teams remain on high alert to supervise Wangchuk's physical health, CJP leaders maintain that they will persist with their demonstrations. The government has not released any official statement concerning the fresh reoccupation of the protest site.
